Review the context
A match needs context.
A person may hold a public role, be connected to someone who does, or have both classifications. Keep those findings distinct so your team can review the relevant evidence.
Available names, roles, dates and source references help your team assess a match. A classification is a screening signal for review, not an identity confirmation or an allegation of wrongdoing.
What PEP and RCA results tell you
The results tab separates the source classifications without duplicating people who have both.
| Classification | What it means | Available context |
|---|---|---|
| PEP | The source classifies the person as politically exposed. | Public role, country, tenure and historical status where supplied. |
| RCA | The source classifies the person as a relative or close associate. | Explicit family or associate links to a PEP, with dates and sources where available. |
| PEP & RCA | Both classifications apply to the same record. | One result in the dual-classification section, with both kinds of context. |
RCA status does not imply that the person holds public office. Missing relationship evidence is shown explicitly.
From a name to evidence for review
Screen classified people, inspect the available context and keep the result.
Screen a person
Enter a person’s name in Quick Check. PEP / RCA findings appear alongside separate sanctions and criminal-watchlist results.
Review why it matched
Compare names, aliases, public roles and available identifiers. For RCA, review the related PEP and explicit family or associate relationship when available. Person sources and direct relationship sources remain distinct.
Keep the context
Saved results retain the classifications and evidence. Role dates, historical status and death dates are preserved where supplied. Source observation dates do not necessarily indicate when a role began or ended.
